What is an
End-of-life doula?

An end-of-life doula, or a death doula, is one who helps guide a person and their loved ones thought the dying process. End-of-life doulas provide guidance, companionship and peace to those facing a terminal illness and/or death. Working with an end-of-life doula can start at any time before your journey from this world begins to help you have control and decide what is most important to you.Through emotional, social and spiritual support, an end-of-life doula is present for the person and loved ones and helps create an environment desired through the process.

My name is Christie and I would be honored to walk your end-of-life journey with you. I completed my End-of-Life Doula Professional Certificate from The University of Vermont. Prior to being an end-of-life doula, I have worked as a speech-language pathologist in the medical field for over a decade. During my time in healthcare, I have worked very closely with Palliative Care and Hospice and found my calling in becoming an end-of-life doula to help those transition peacefully from this world the way THEY want to die and provide support for the dying and their loved ones.I currently live in Saratoga Springs with my husband, our two boys and our dog. I enjoy reading, golfing and spending time with family and friends.
